Once again ege excels when it comes to qualifying for accreditations. On June 3rd 2010 ege made a first time straight pass for the Achilles accreditation. That only happens for 25% of the 850 manufacturers and suppliers applying for it.

Qualified on all counts
It took a two day intensive manufacturing audit by Achilles Group to come to the conclusion that ege qualifies as supply chain partner. During these days they left no stone unturned as they assessed quality, capability and reliability along with health, safety and social responsibility and environment.

 

“The Achilles accreditation is important for ege”, Quality and Environmental Manager Jan Ladefoged from ege tells. “The investment and risks involved in construction procurement force the building consultants and construction companies to set higher demand standards of performance across the whole project’s life-cycle. They are looking for supplier pre-qualification and validation of health, safety and environmental practices along with performance measurements. Now they can get it all from just one certificate. That is a great advantage!”

 

A broad range of accreditations
ege has a long performance history when it comes to qualifying for different accreditations. “In 1992 we implemented Quality Management at ege”, Jan Ladefoged explains. “Four years later we implemented Environmental Management and in 2006 Working Environmental Management”. All these systems are externally audited. Additionally ege has a broad range of different approvals and certificates for their different carpet products, covering life-cycle assessments, building product declarations, ‘green building’ components etc.
